Yes, flight extensions are allowed once we are airborne, however this will come at an additional cost.
Unfortunately, we do not have night flights.
In short, yes. We can fly somewhere other than the depicted route. Although for planning purposes, we do ask that you let us know where you’d like to go at the time of your reservation.
Unfortunately, we do not land anywhere during our flights unless there is an emergency.
Unfortunately not, we can’t do drop offs for skiing and snowboarding. All take off and landings must be performed safely at our designated spot at Big Bear Airport.
We recommended that you make a reservation for a sightseeing flight to guarantee your desired tour and hour, but our flexible schedule and hours usually allows you to walk-in for a flight.
We gladly accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, debit, credit cards and cash (I.D. is required for credit card payment).
We can fly up to three passengers at once. There is a two passenger minimum for lift-off (some exceptions and limitations may apply). Please check our group rates for additional discounts or call for more info.
Normal attire applicable to the season is fine.
Due to the matters of a safe flight, there is a weight limit of 300 pounds per passenger (some limitations apply for total weight of all passengers combined).
There is no age limit to fly with Helicopter Big Bear, all ages are welcome!
With a maximum of 3 people permitted per flight, all flights are private and so only your group will be flying with you.
We are open year-round as weather permits, 7 days a week with days and hours varying seasonally. We recommend checking the homepage of our website or calling (909) 585-1200 for updated hours and information.
We recommend bringing a jacket since it can be chilly during the flight. We also strongly recommend bringing a camera to take those epic shots for lasting memories.
We are located at the Big Bear Airport terminal, 501 Valley Blvd. Big bear, CA 92314 . Upon arrival, go through the main door next to the Barnstorm Cafe.
We do require you to sign a release form. You can review it by clicking the following link. You will be required to fill it out and sign it at our customer service counter.
There are no additional charges, fees, or taxes on top of our stated prices.
You can end your flight before the scheduled time, but there are no refunds issued once the aircraft takes flight (some exceptions may apply).
Yes, we do permit a change to your flight date or reservation, but we require a minimum of 2 weeks of notice. However, some restrictions may apply.
You are free to use your cellphone during your flight for texting, taking photos and data, but please refrain from calls.
We encourage you to take in the view from the air and of course snap some fantastic photos and videos – this may be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!
Yes, you can but please note you will be charged for two seats unless it can be agreed that you fly with another party.
We are licensed and insured. All documentation is available upon request at our location.
There is no charge for the time the helicopter is on the ground. All of our stated tour durations are flying times.
Bad weather could affect your flight(s). Your flight(s) may be canceled or rescheduled if the weather is not suitable for our ride. We will always aim to inform you in anticipation of any bad weather, but sometimes we are in nature’s hands when it comes to the timing of the weather.
Identification is not required to fly. However, if you are paying for your flight with a credit card, you may be asked to show I.D. to protect both you and Helicopter Big Bear.
